  22. These are spontaneuos foodie type pictures for blogs and such, not really for advertising or commercial use. Yeah, everyone should bring a softbox and reflectors when they have dinner to freakin’ take pictures of food. Some ppl take things out of it’s context.

  28. Wtf is this? This is basic training, for those who just bought a DSLR or something. Good food photographers use a lot of lights, reflectors, ND filters and really fast lens, like 50 1.2 or 85 1.2, and they certainly don’t use a Sony platform. This is pure Sony commercial.

  34. The videos in this presentation are good, but the stills are unacceptable—all of them. After praising the photographer, I think you put him in a no-win situation. Despite overly lavish praise, these pictures just don’t cut it. You’ve got white against white; you’ve got some sort of white food in overexposed strips; you haven’t even brought in a basic mat for a plausible background. This makes Sony look bad. These photos are really examples of what NOT to take. And the DSLR is overkill.

  36. @TheRukachuka the a550 was discontinued and replaced with the a580. almost the exact same camera except it can take video.

  40. Hey I checked Sony and they said that they discontinued or that the a550 dslr, wasn’t available! I was looking to buy this camera! Is this the end of the A550 camera?? AWW MANN
