Why has the latest windows vista update left my sidebar gadgets with a pink edging?
Author: admin | Filed under: GadgetsI’m running windows Vista and my computer automatically updated this morning when I started it up. Looking at the installation I think it included an Internet Explorer update too. My sidebar gadgets now how a pink edging? I deleted them and redownloaded but they are exactly the same. Anyone able to tell me how to fix this?
I already use Firefox, I never use Internet explorer it was just automatically updated. I like the windows sidebar and it was working until today. I would prefer to fix this than start using something else, but thanx for your input.

1. dont use internet explorer download Firefox
2. you dont need the sidebar you could download another one NOT made by microsoft
I’ve got all the latest updates and everything is still as it should be. Possibly you have a different theme so go to desktop, right button of mouse down to personalize and check that you have the WIndows Vista theme, if this is indeed what you had previously, and also check the colour and appearance tab where possibly you have the pink option enabled instead of default.
If you go to add / remove programs and you look in the left hand side you will see the update that has been downloaded. You will be able to tell what one it was by the date and from there you will be able to delete it. Delete it and then see if the side bar is back to normal if not re install the side bar.
