Author: admin | Filed under: Football

The fantastically talented Hugh Laurie paid a house call to Ellen, and they played an exciting game of American slang versus English slang — and the game was bloody brilliant!

  11. i thought “flossing” was wearing extremely tight underwear

  12. @noahstutterin So very true. A few months ago I met someone from Durham and no, he did not sound like a Geordie. Vaguely similar, but no, certainly not. All part of the wonderful variety of experience youget from this island.

  14. the only british slang on this video i have ever said was the word “Chuffed”

  15. noahstutterin says:
  16. @LazarusRemains There are many more than 20 English accents. Many are very local, some only within 20 miles or so. Take Newcastle on Tyne and Durham, two different accents. I think there are more like several hundred. And then think about dialects…..

  17. noahstutterin says:
  18. @imanacer You have to come from south Yorkshire to understand about chuff. There is, or was, a girl band from the Sheffield area called the Chuffinelles. There is also the saying “Tight as a gnat’s chuff”. It might be something to do with chough. But I know of none that are as big as a clough.

  19. noahstutterin says:
  20. @meadowsbros You might think so.
You made a couple mistakes. One was to suggest that your dick is as big as British ones, when in fact it is only 20% as big and therefore can fit inside any mouth.
The other mistake was to suggest that British people are like you. But they are neither worthless nor pieces of shit.

  22. @imanacer we use them in America.
