How to remove sony stereo from car?

I need to remove my sony xplod stereo from my 106 as im scrapping it and getting a new car tommorrow. Is there anyway i can do this without radio keys, i heard you can just do it with a screwdriver, is this true? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Insert the screwdriver under the stereo control unit and see if it slides out easily. Don’t wrench it though. But it should just slide out with some lever mechanism. Good luck
Yes but need to be careful or it will ruin unit. Sometimes two butter knifes will work good. If not use the small pocket screwdrivers. If has detachable face remove it. On each side there are spring clips slide in the knifes or the screw drivers may have to do one at a time. Shouldn’t have to put them in over a few inches. Hope this helps

If its like mine you need the proper tools.A decent garage if you offer cash in hand shouldn’t charge much for this it’s 2/3 minutes if that.
