I buy myPC components here http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Category/category_tlc.asp?CatId=28&name=Video-Cards
As for getting ripped off Just make sure you read the warranties before purchasing anything.
try scan or ocuk both very good
It depends where you’re based, if you live in the UK I’d suggest http://www.aria.com but if you’re in the states then http://www.tigerdirect.com is good enough. I bought all my PC parts from Aria.
Tiger Direct or Newegg.
heres one i just built a month ago……it will give ya an idea what it takes to play crisis pretty smoothly……1,500.00 to build……a lot better than any prebuilt you can but…….scott

hi liam
i buy all my pc components including graphics cards from http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Graphics+Cards,and they are in my experience the cheapest online retailer in the uk
as for a direct x 10 card that will play crysis on high well you will be looking at either a 9 series nvidia card or the gtx260(the gtx280 is too expensive, over £250)
one decent card that pretty poweful but not too expensive is the nVidia GeForce 9800GTX+ 512MB PCI-E(http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Graphics+Cards/PCI-E/nVIDIA+GeForce+9+Series/nVidia+GeForce+9800GTX%2B+512MB+PCI-E+?productId=33059),this is a extremely fast card with some amazing specs
it has a 738mhz core clock and 512mb of gddr3 memory running at 1100mhz(2200 ddr effective),it also has a 256bit memory bus and supports the new pci-express 2.0 interface which basically means if you have the motherboard that supports pci-express 2.0 then your pci-express transfer speed will be double the speed of the older pci-express 1.0(0.25gb to 0.5gb per second)
another card worth considering is the BFG GeForce GTX 260 OC 896MB PCI-E 2.0(http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Graphics+Cards/PCI-E/nVIDIA+GTX+260%2F280+Series/BFG+GeForce+GTX+260+OC+896MB+PCI-E+2.0+?productId=33445),this is a awesome card and allthough its not as good as the gtx280 its still faster than the 9800gtx by miles
it has a 590mhz core clock(vs. 576MHz standard) and 896mb of gddr3 memory running at 1998mhz ddr effective,and a shader clock of 1296mhz(vs. 1242MHz standard)
and with a unusual but powerful 448bit memory bus this equates to a remarkable card with some awesome firepower, and with support for direct x 10 and shader model 4.1 in both these cards these will both run crysis and all other games at high settings
finally the Sapphire Radeon 4870 512MB PCI-E 2.0 (http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Graphics+Cards/PCI-E/ATI+Radeon+4000+Series/Sapphire+Radeon+4870+512MB+PCI-E+2.0+?productId=32345)is another very fast card infact this is probally faster than the other two especially the memory clock
it has a 750mhz core clock and 512mb of ddr5(double data rate 5) memory running at a massive 3600mhz,these specs are excellent and produce sterling frame rates in all games including crysis
however powerful cards like these also require powerful psu,s so be sure to read the psu requirement before fitting any of these cards in your p.c,the last thing you need is to fit your new card in the pc only to burst out in flames as theres no enough power to run it(this has happened!)
any problems let me know
good luck liam !
