Is my car covered if someone was driving it third party?
Author: admin | Filed under: MotorsMy mom was driving my car this morning and somebody has gone into the back of her which was the other drivers fault. I am fully comp on my insurance, so is my mom her insurance cover includes driving any other car third party. Will i be covered to get my car fixed?

it depends on your insurance.
If some one runs in to the back of you it is totally their fault. Claim off them, but through your or your Mums insurers. If you have more than one insurer given the circumstances, tell ‘em all, but start with yours.
If the other driver was at fault then his insurance will cover the repairs to your vehicle.
If your Mum was at fault (unlikely in a rear end shunt) then she is not covered for damage to your vehicle and you would have to meet the cost of repairs yourself.
