  1. keep the windows shut and turn off the heating

  2. You are 17. Go slow. Lol. I know it might be fun to go fast but you can get into an accident since you are a beginner driver

  3. Lighten the load, check your tire air pressure at the local petrol station.

  5. Any modification you make to increase the car’s speed, will also increase your (already very, very expensive) insurance cost.

  7. Learn to drive slowly first.
When you pass your test you’ll no doubt be back on here moaning about insurance quotes of £3000+ for someone your age. Your “make it faster” attitude is exactly why car insurance costs £££££ for inexperienced teens.

  8. the only way to get a real bang for your buck is to go for a faster car or bigger engine.
The money you will spend you will never get back and will be money wasted for going what will probably prove to be not any more noticably faster than you could go before.

The most cost effective way would be to strip the car out to save weight or to change the gearbox for one with closer ratios.
Aside from this you can improve gas flow by using a full sports exhaust system with manifold, a sports airfilter (k&n or similiar), a gas flowed head , engine remap, not much else you could do and this little lot will probably set you back £1000-£2000 and give you another 5bhp+.

My personal advice is to build some no claims bonus and save the money to put towards a car that is built to go faster when your insurance comes down.
This will prove cost effective and be a much safer option.

  9. what you need is time ..because with time ..(years ) you will be able to get a fast car …by then you will have something money cant buy ..experience …you will know how to handle a car and hopefully what to do in an emergency ..all these things you lack …right now you need a memory ..because when you start driving you will have to remember what it felt like to have money to spend …once you start you have any ….but most important remember …the police etc are looking out for people just like you ..so if you do anything silly they will throw the book at you ..and if you start messing around with your new car ..big bore exhaust .dark windows and lights etc and you fail to tell the insurance company exactly what you have done then they may well declare it void if you have a problem ..so .forget the mods ..stay cool .and hopefully stay alive ..stay legal..and if you think i sound like an old fart ..your right ..but i have driven over a million miles ..safely ..had more cars than you have lived months ..

  10. Drive very carefully. Inappropriate speed kills.
This happened close to where I live, very recently.
