Can anyone recommend the cheapest way to hire a car on holiday?

Author: admin | Filed under: Motors

We are going to Limoges, France in September. Whats the cheapest and best way to hire a car for a week? Online in advance? Or when we are at the Airport in france?

Thanks!

  1. I would book it online in advance, as then you should be able to get a car without problems, and quite often companies like Hertz and Avis will give you an online discount.

  2. Literally shop around. Make sure you go for the lower end of the scale, hunt out any sales, etc.

  3. Online should usually be the cheapest, OR the same price. But you will never save money by just ringing up or turning up at the centre.

    GDJ.

  4. I’d go for in advance.
    Just looked at this site

when you search for Limoges in September it gave a discounted price.

But don’t forget there’ll probably be a deposit too. I recently hired a car from enterprise in this country and never thought twice that they may ask for a deposit, it was £150, I had to borrow it!!

  6. Well, often, the company who you have booked your holiday, or flight with will offer some good deals, but otherwise, its better to shop around to find a deal.

http://www.holidayautos.co.uk do offer some deals during the summer.
