6 people fell prey to the Bear Butkus
1:43 Oh, that poor, flailing bastard…
5:57 knocked out his teammate
I love the transition, “personality like a fried lobster(smiling)….IT WAS HORRIFYING PLAYING AGAINST HIM.” it amuses me every time.
he wouldnt even be able to play over 20 games his whole career if he played now beacuse every game he play he would get suspeneded for 30 games and fined 100,000, dollars so gay…
must feared LB in the nfl
@pintaildrake1 *Some, not most.
Unfortunately most of the hits on this highlight reel would be deemed “illegal” by today’s NFL standards. This is the way football was meant to be played.
@iamasteriod yeah, you love dick
One of the best if not thee best at his posistion. He played for the “Love of the Game”. Unfortunately, that can’t be said for a lot of today’s player’s. They forgot why they got into playing the game to begin with. I love the line: “He was Moby Dick in a fish bowl”.
the best linebacker to play the game, and dont give me no “Ray Lewis is a beast!?” bullshit! he can kiss my ass Dick BUTKUS IS, WAS, AND ALWAYS WILL BE BETTER!!
the 6 people who disliked this video got hit by Dick (pun intended)
5:53 Butkus took out his own guy : )
@9am8it Sure he did, watch it again.
trade me to another basement.
@9am8it Sure he did, watch it again…
The music in this video is so awesome!
My ALL-TIME favorite football player. Ever. Past or present. He represents everything that football should be. Watching the way he played inspired me to over come a lack of size and “strength” and use pure butkus-style aggressivness to be an all league center and defensive end at 190 lbs and a bench max of 185. WWDBD? Thanks Dick.
@ThePretzelHead Yeah right, closet homosexual Roger Goodell would kick him out of football with the Flag Footballl League he’s trying to create.
i sware to god that im not lying
my dads cousin is dick butkus
Butkus would be a star today. Man-o-man.
@brianCIM Sorry, buddy, but I know Harry Kalas’ voice very well also. He was the play-by-play announcer for the Philadelphia Phillies on WPHL-TV, channel 17, for years. I don’t know Scott Graham. This is a good trivia question, I’ll keep looking as well.
@galesayers just checked out their website. Facenda died in 84 at the age of 71 from cancer so its obviously not him. The only other narrators mentioned are Harry Kalas and Scott Graham. This must be Kalas because this film was from 1985 and he immediately stepped into Facenda’s place when Facenda died in 1984. Kalas died within the last couple years and thus Scott Graham does the narrarations now.
@galesayers ok, i will try. i am gonna check out NFL Films website i think.
