Why does my car make a loud screeching noise when I accelerate?

Author: admin | Filed under: Motors

I recently bought an old Audi 80. It is a great car, but whenever I start the engine, or accelerate, it makes a really loud screeching noise. It also seems to get even worse when the weather is cold.
Is this just the fan belt needing tightening, or could it be something else?
