What posistion should I play in American football?
Author: admin | Filed under: Football
Hi I live in England and I am going to play youth football over the summer. I am 17 and play rugby as a flanker or hooker. I am 5 foot 10, 85 kg (188 pounds) and run the 40 yard dash time in 4.9 (slow I know!) However I am strong and can bench 115 kg, and squat 150 kg. So my question is, what position would suit me In American football!

First of all as a player I’ve seen very athletic people get benched because of one small problems. Fundamentals. Learn the fundamentals about every position. Many positions consistent of different things, but from your strength you could be a decent linebacker. Just play where ever the coach thinks best to fit you. Your pretty sturdy so I think you would make a good Wide Receiver for blocking etc.
