It's not a matter of brewing piss flavored beers. It's a matter of how you drink it. From what I heard, a lot of English pubs do not serve beer cold. That's not to say that the beer is warm, but it's more at room temperature. Anyone used to drinking cold beer would think that this is warm beer, when it's actually more like sort-of-cool beer. Either way, the not-so-cold style of certain types of beer can lead to a slight urinistic flavoring. Through my experience, I noticed that warm lagers and malt liquors usually have that pissy taste. Ales aren't nearly as bad. In Hawaii, they put ice cubes in their beer, which hurts the flavor of the beer (though still better than the taste of urine). Here in the US, they serve beer in iced mugs, which also hurts the flavor of the beer because the frost ends up melting into the beer, diluting out the flavor sort of like the ice cubes, but on a lower scale.
