What happened to the gadget that allowed a car to run on anything?

Author: admin | Filed under: Gadgets

I remember way back on Tomorrow’s World an inventor who had come up with a gadget that cost about 50p that allowed a car to run on practically anything. They showed it on TW they said it worked, then….. nothing.
What happened next?

  1. the inventor ran away

  2. The government is busy drawing up legislation to tax it before it goes into production… good old gordie

  3. Unfortunately it didn’t work, because it would be in production by now, many “devices” have claimed whatever ie increases MPG to over 100 miles etc, naaa they don’t (well never say never I suppose).
Best one I came across was placed on some military vehicles (soft skin and armoured) and it was basically permanent magnets that were placed around fuel delivery pipes/lines and that supposedly all the molecules in the fuel would align themselves within the flow direction which made combustion more efficient increasing the overall MPG (that was the manufactures claim), we trialled this device and the recorded results in increased mpg were. absolutely nuffink.

The only liquid I know that doubles the range of a gallon of petrol, is by adding another gallon of petrol:)

  4. Slight of hand. Actually would run on water or just about anything if you didn’t watch the inventer carefully. If you bought it, you would discover that the claims were just that. Lots of fake stuff out there. As to what next–change names, change states, get new mail drop, try for new chumps.

  5. Watch out there are people watching sites like this! A combination hybrid at the moment. But who knows in a few years a warp drive.
