My its my friends stag party in a few days and we were thinking about handcuffing him naked around a lampost and leaving him for the night. Possibly leaving him on a busy street with his hands behind his back naked allowing ‘everything’ to be on show!
Is there any law which prohibits us from doing this?

Er yes you wolly, its call indcent exposure, to which in the UK he can be arrest, EVEN ON THE STAG NIGHT, facing a prison sentence, and being on the sexual offence register, I dont think you would want that to happen to your friend. Wishful thinking mate!!
That’s the stupidest thing I ever heard. If my friends would have done that, I’d be in jail now for killing them.
It depends where you live. Usually public nudity is illegal. Its called indecent exposure. However, if you live in Vermont is perfectly ok. Vermont has no laws against nudity (a few towns are nudist-free, so check first).
Next time you see a cop around town, ask them what the law is. However, as far as I know this will be considered illegal and you could be getting your friend in trouble for nudity and also yourselves in trouble for public mischief.

He could be subject to laws concerning indecent exposure…but I think he’d probably be within his rights to press charges for assault at the very least, and possibly kidnapping as well. I’m sure a good lawyer could inform him of half a dozen grounds on which he could sue you, too.
At absolute minimum, I imagine a stunt like this would be serious grounds to never speak to anyone involved again. Is it really worth that price?
you should be very careful doing this as someone i know went on his stag night stripped off naked in a vountain in a town aborad and got arrested and the had to pay £10,000 to get him out of jail in time for the wedding – not worth the risk
Sounds like good fun for you, and possibly a few passers-by, but not something most grooms would forgive you for the morning after. (Or three years later when they’ve moved to the States for business and had to register as a sex offender.)
Although your friend may be able to plead not guilty on the basis of there being absolutely no intent on HIS part to shock or disturb the general public, he will likely have to spend at least a few hours in the slammer, in which case, you would be on the hook to come to his rescue. Then you and your friends would most likely end up in the hot seat, yourselves. After all of this, would it still be worthwhile? We think not.
